Private View has taken place - the show runs until 20th March 2010.

After the Private View Sakina, James and I attended the East10 Open House architecture debate "Is creativity in architecture dead?" at the Allen and Overy LLP lecture hall, London E1. Debate panel: Alison Brooks, Marcus Fairs, Hugh Pearman and

Joe Kerr.

It was an interesting, albeit manifesto filled event. We found it relevant, educational and necessary. As always, Joe Kerr spoke to the point (just as I remember from my student days in his lectures!). Thanks for coming along, I will invite you again.

Shoreditch Showcase comes to a close. Final Critique took place with a lot of enthusiasm, after some delay due to the unexpected snowfall. And added a bit of time to the process, helpful, I am sure.

Here are some images from the presentations. I am still waiting for the poster files from some students. Please can you check that you have given me the files I need for the showcase at Iniva.

The Iniva showcase will now take place beginning of March, to fit in with the exhibition schedule at the gallery. I will get more detailed info and invitations out in due course. Please help me get this right – I cannot organise the show reel without the work on files etc.

Final Critique Shoreditch Showcase

Final critique took place on Monday 18th January 2010 - delayed by the snow..

Lots of enthusiasm, evidence of progress and general development towards the final proposal was seen, discussed and presented. Process was particularly strong overall.

Images of work and other relative information will soon be uploaded here.

In the meantime, I think everyone deserves a slice of cake...

Next week Mon 25th-Fri 29th is study- and reading week - please check Studynet for further details by end of this week. You will be working on a set task outside of university. All will be on Studynet later this week.

Remember 1st February, Iniva Showcase launch of the Shoredicth Showcase project, looped images... more on this as I have it... (files to me please!!! Many thanks).

...back in the swing of things

Hello all,

Happy New Year and welcome back! Hope you are all refreshed and recharged.

Submission of the materials document took place today - next is Thursday's final critique, assessment and submisson for Shoreditch Showcase.

I am very much looking forward to seeing all the developed, final proposals - remember to check requirements and don't leave printing etc., to the very last... You know what can happen.
